What is Shan Koe Mee?
Shan Koe Mee is a traditional card game played across generations in Myanmar. Using a deck of nine cards, it is popular in both rural and urban settings and loved by players everywhere.
Well known among Padaung, Shan and Bamar communities, the main goal of the game is to lead with the top card in your hand and get as close to a total of 9 as possible. Nine cards are dealt evenly to three players, who then calculate the value of their cards and compete to win the pot.
Shan Koe Mee combines luck and strategy, and because a player's own decisions can noticeably affect the outcome, many people find it one of the more engaging card games to play.

Step-by-step guide to playing Shan Koe Mee
Dealing the Cards
Each player is dealt nine cards at the start. You can only view your own cards.
Splitting into Sets of Three
The nine cards are arranged into three separate groups — the first set of three, the second set of three and the third set of three.
Counting Numbers
The total value of the cards is determined by the units digit only. For example — 7+5 = 12, so the value is 2. 9 is the highest value.
Top Card Decision
Players compare their top card (the total of the first three cards) and the one with the highest number wins.
Receiving Winnings
The winner receives all the money placed in that round. On the 168slop platform, winnings are credited to your account instantly.
What You Should Know
In Shan Koe Mee, getting high numbers — 9, 8, 7 — gives you a better chance of winning. Special card combinations called "Dragon" bypass the normal round and can pay out higher winnings. Planning your strategy before you play can lead to better results.

Shan Koe Mee Strategy and Tips
Game Concept
Luck plays a big role in Shan Koe Mee, but reading card patterns and planning your second and third card combinations strategically can improve your results.
Build a Strong Top Card First
Arranging your first three cards to get a high total gives you the best chance of winning. Do not lead your top card with weak cards and use your second and third cards to hide a bad hand.
Manage Your Bankroll
In every round, only bet a set percentage of your bankroll. Rather than putting in more money after a loss, adjusting your bets and continuing to play is a more sustainable strategy.
Decide before the cards are dealt
Plan ahead by leading with your top card first, then think through how the second and third cards will be distributed to make the difference.
Set a break time
Playing Shan Koe Mee for long stretches without a break can weaken your decision-making. When you feel tired during a session, step away for a moment and come back with a clear head before continuing.
